Fran
Mangino received her Bachelor of Science in
Art Education from Kent State University. Her background is
in weaving
and fiber arts. In the early-80's, under the guidance of Bess
Alexander, Fran discovered the beauty of transparent watercolor. She
has studied with many nationally know artists including: Carl Dalio, Peggy Brown,
Joan Ashley Rothermel, Arleta Pech and Alex Powers.
Since
1990, each summer Fran participates in 14
outdoor fine art festivals in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, New York,
Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
Fran's work is exhibited in restaurants, gift shops and galleries in Ohio, Colorado,
Kentucky and Wisconsin.
Fran
has juried exhibitions
for many art groups around the state of Ohio including the Western Ohio
Watercolor Society and the Toledo Art Club. She is frequently asked
to present watercolor demonstrations and is available to teach
watercolor workshops.
